Extremely comfortable shoe, durable and good looking
I've put about 160 or so miles on these shoes. For my first 50 miles, I had this uncomfortable pain on my left pinky toe when doing runs over 5 miles. Switching out to thinner socks helped a lot. As far as performance goes, I use these shoes mostly for easy runs. I'm currently doing around 70-80 mpw (mostly base mileage), but I've put these shoes in my rotation quite a bit. I've used them for tempo runs and felt more on the sluggish side. If anyone has ever ran in a true lightweight carbon plated shoe, you should know exactly what I'm talking about. I think if this shoe lost a little more weight, it could be a good tempo shoe. Durability is not bad (at least for me - 5'8" 163 lbs). I feel like I could get 400 miles from the outsole.
Do you make a wide version? Do you make a wide. Do you make a wide
They are amazing so far I've went over 80 miles and they are still holding strong. As someone who is flat footed and in the military it is hard to find a pair of shoes that live up to my standards. I just recently did a 12 mile ruck in them as well and they held up beautifuly. Ill post another review at 160 miles since that's where people seem to start seeing wear on there shoes.
So you folks know Exactly what size I require - given I have purchased multiple pairs. (I require 4W) - yet every day I get a marketing email. Today the Title was - We Selected these Just for you - Yet None of the products came in wide. This annoyance and time consuming issue (I waste time to look - when there is no way I could purchase) - is not that difficult to fix - I m sure I am not alone. Please fix this issue
The shoe is extremely comfortable. However, after 100 miles the eyelet on the left shoe broke, Making them worthless! For the price of these shoes I would not recommend them.
Not normally one to write product reviews but I felt I had to write something about how great these shoes are. Strapped them on the first day without any break-in and and PR’d my 5k time with much less effort and fatigue! I have always had shin splints and pain with running and only did it because I “have to” to stay in shape but these shoes make it much more enjoyable. Fit is a little tight but I just loosen the laces a little more than normal and have not had any problems with fit or slipping.
This is second pair of Hover running shoes, I’ve owned. These fit a little bit wider and are more rounded at the toe than expected. But after running them I could feel the benefit of the ticked heal and propulsion plate. May looks as sleek as my other under armor shoes, but the wider fit feels very comfortable. Not sure if this varies on size.
This shoe was the perfect combo of softness and great support through my entire very first run (8 miles and I’m 70!)
I am a casual runner, I run about 5km five times a week on road/pavement, I run three or four times in these shoes a week, and another pair on other days. I have run about 70km in these since.
The fit is nice and tight, cushioning is generous and I've not experienced discomfort in my knees and shins since running in these.
The shoes are a little heavier than I have been used to, I have clocked a little worse in timing on these but I suppose that just needs some getting used to. They feel about as heavy as basketball shoes.
What I really like is the UA MapMyRun, which has given really constructive feedback on my running form that as a casual runner I was not aware of previously. Tracking my distance also help in monitoring my workout plans.
I have not really experienced the benefit of the HOVR technology, perhaps I haven't broken in the shoes yet but I have run 70km on these.
The overall aesthetic is excellent, I got the red colour, which looks good when I'm running, its a little more neon than the picture would suggest.
Overall, I would recommend as a trainer, maybe not so much on race day.
